Some differences between the two are that Keratin treatments usually have results lasting 3-5 months and Brazilian Blowout results usually last approximately 12 weeks. The Brazilian Treatments have no down time, while some of the Keratin Treatments you can not wash your hair, put your hair up, no excessive sweating and no styling products up to 72hr after service.
- Do I need to use special shampoo and conditioner?
Yes, It is very important to use the appropriate shampoo and conditioner that your stylist recommends in order to guarantee the results and the longevity of the treatment.
- Can I use dry shampoo after a Brazilian Blowout?
Yes, you can use dry shampoo after a Brazilian blowout and a keratin treatment as long as it is for keratin treatments.
- Can these treatments be done on color treated hair?
Color should be done before any smoothing treatments or 2 weeks after.
- Can I dye my hair after a Brazilian Blowout or any other keratin treatment?
Yes, but we recommend that you should wait for at least 2 weeks. The keratin treatment is supposed to make your current color last longer and be more vibrant by sealing in the pigment. Customers with highlights, permanent or semi-permanent color will greatly benefit from it.
- How long will I spend at the salon to get my Keratin treatment?
It should take between 1.5 to 2 hours. During the last step, we will flat iron your hair to strengthen it and seal in the keratin.
- Is it possible to swim with a Brazilian Blowout?
The short answer is yes. However, if you swim regularly it might compromise the results you get from the treatment.
- Can I color my hair after a Brazilian Blowout?
Yes, but it is advised to wait a least 2 weeks before doing so.
