The Smoothbar Salon Policies & Procedures
Pricing & Timing
Your appointment begins at your scheduled time.
Starting Prices & Minimum Times:
- A La Carte Bond Repair (1 hr): $175
- Keratin Smoothing and Brazilian Blowout Treatments (2 hr min): $300
- Super Blowout (2 hr min): $325
- Moderate Smooth (2.5 hr min): $400
- Super Smooth & Signature (3 hr min): $550
If your service exceeds the scheduled time, additional time will be billed at $60 per 30-minute increment entered into.
Add-Ons:
- B3 or Leaf & Flower: $95 (+30 minutes)
- K18: $35 (no additional time)
Pricing may be adjusted at management’s discretion. Promotions and discounts may not be combined and are limited to one per visit.
Appointments & Cancellations
We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule (48 hours for Saturdays).
- Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged up to 100% of the scheduled service amount
- Repeated rescheduling may limit your ability to book in advance
- Appointments must be confirmed at least 24 hours prior, or they may be released
- Late arrivals may result in additional time charges or the need to adjust your service
Refunds & Exchanges
We do not offer refunds on services. If you have any concerns, please notify us within 7 days so we can work with you on a resolution.
Retail products are exchange only within 30 days of purchase.
Child Safety Policy
Children are only permitted in the salon when receiving a service.
For safety and insurance reasons, children under 13 may not accompany you during your appointment. We appreciate your understanding in helping us maintain a safe and professional environment.
Service Expectations
Smoothing treatments are designed to reduce frizz and improve manageability. Results vary based on your hair type, condition, and maintenance routine.
All smoothing services are heat-activated, and blow-drying after washing is recommended for the smoothest results.
Our team will provide professional recommendations based on your hair and goals. Choosing a service outside of these recommendations may impact your final results.
Smoothing treatments involve professional chemical processes and may release mild vapors during the process. If you have sensitivities or concerns, we encourage you to discuss them with your stylist prior to your service. These treatments may not improve severely damaged hair.
If you are pregnant, nursing, or have any health concerns, we recommend consulting with your physician prior to receiving a smoothing treatment.
Maintenance & Results
We will recommend products to help maintain your results and support the health of your hair.
Use of non-recommended products may affect the outcome and longevity of your service.
Hair color or toner may be affected during the smoothing process.
If you plan to lighten or highlight your hair, we recommend doing so before your smoothing treatment, as these services may reduce or remove the effects of the treatment.
Extensions & Limitations
Services are not recommended on hair with extensions, and results cannot be guaranteed when extensions are present.
Patch Testing & Sensitivities
We offer complimentary patch tests to check for sensitivities prior to your service.
If you choose to decline a patch test, The Smoothbar is not responsible for any adverse reactions.
If you experience sensitivity during your service and choose to stop, charges will apply based on the time reserved and/or services performed. Alternative treatments may be offered at an additional cost.
