The Smoothbar Salon Policies & Procedures

Our Pricing

Your appointment time starts at the time you are scheduled. $150 for an A La Carte Bond rebuilding service with a 1 hour booking time. It is $250 for a non permanent smoothing service with a two hour minimum. $275 for the Super Curly and Super Blowout service with a two hour minimum. $425 for the Super Smooth and Smoothbar Signature services with a three hour minimum. If your service exceeds the minimum booking time, you will be charged $60 per 30-minute increment. The B3 and Leaf and Flower add-on services are $85 and will include 30 minutes of additional time to your service. The K18 add-on service is $35 and will not require any additional time to your booking. The Smoothbar holds the right to increase or discount prices at management’s discretion without notice. Coupons and online discounts may not be combined with any other offer and are limited to one per customer per visit. If you have a coupon that can be applied to your service, it will be honored at checkout.

Cancellation Policies

We require a 24hr notice to cancel or to reschedule an appointment otherwise you will be charged a fee of your scheduled appointment. If you do not show up to your appointment you will be charged the full amount of your scheduled appointments. We require a confirmation of your appointment no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled reservation time. If you do not confirm 24 hours prior we will assume that you no longer wish to keep your appointment and we will cancel your appointment for you so that you may avoid any late cancellation fees.

Refunds and Exchanges

​If you are not 100% satisfied with your service you must notify The Smoothbar within two weeks after your service. We do not offer money-back on services but we will make every attempt to resolve any issue. Results may vary depending on hair texture, the health of hair, and products used between treatments. Return policy for retail products is exchange only no refunds. If you would like to exchange any retail that has been purchased at The Smoothbar it must be within 30 days of purchase.

Child Safety Policy

​Children are only permitted in the salon when receiving a salon service. For safety reasons and insurance purposes, no child under the age of 13 may accompany you while you are receiving a service. We love children and hope you can understand we can not assure their safety in a professional environment. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

Service Policies

​​You consent to have a smoothing treatment done to your hair and understand that smoothing services can have varying results based on your individual hair type and the condition that it is in. You understand that The Smoothbar will give you their professional recommendation to achieve the results you want based on the condition, integrity of your hair and your lifestyle and understand that every service we offer is heat activated meaning you will need to blow dry your hair after every wash to achieve the smoothest results. You understand that if you go against The Smoothbar’s recommendation that the service that you have chosen may not accomplish your personal hair goals. You understand that the smoothing process may not be able to help the integrity of your hair if your hair is already in a damaged state and may emit small traces of formaldehyde during the process. The Smoothbar will recommend products to improve the health of your hair as well as maintain the results after the service. You understand that if you choose to use hair care products that The Smoothbar does not recommend that we can not guarantee the outcome and longevity of your smoothing service. You understand that The Smoothbar does not recommend any service be performed with extensions installed in the hair because the product can not be properly activated and we can not guarantee the results you will see in extension hair. You understand that The Smoothbar offers free patch tests to confirm sensitivities to our products before we perform any smoothing service and if you choose to forgo a patch test we are not held liable for any adverse reactions. If you have a reaction during service and want to stop the process, you have two options. 1. Pay 100%-50% (determined by management) of the time scheduled for the appointment OR receive a Leaf and Flower treatment (to soothe your scalp) or B3 deep conditioning treatment and pay $125 for that service. If you change your mind on the service you want after the consultation is complete, you understand that management will be notified and you may be going against our recommendation which releases us from any liability arising from the results of your service that you have chosen. You are aware that your technician has been trained in the service technique and that they will do their absolute best to create the best result and therefore as an ongoing basis, you release and hold The Smoothbar, its employees and its agents harmless against any and all liability, damage, and/or expenses arising out of or in connection with actions, claims and/or damages that you might incur as a result of the chemical altercation through the smoothing treatment process performed on your hair.
